CES Intel Announces Jarvis
CES Buzz is Intel getting into the smart headset and voice game.
This will be a game changer bringing other devices into the smart realm.
Smart Phones are first not last to be invited into smart interaction. I watched for years the kludgie design of voice activated computers. Was a PC Dealer for Texas Instruments when they announced an interactive voice product for the TIPC in the 80’s. Have watched Dragon and the rest always touch the edge but never ring the bell.
Job’s (Apples) Siri was a game changer and through Google’s own admission they never saw Siri coming fast forward to today and Siri has missed the mark Sans Jobs vision and google has implemented a nice interaction to their own product (DATA).
Has the torch for Voice Interaction/Integration and the vision to connect universally been passed onto Intel?
Who knows but with deep pockets and the knowledge that voice interaction takes HEAVY processing power Intel has stopped waiting for tech to come to them and have entered the came pushing rather than pulling race for smart devices.
Watch for smart devices everywhere. Intel is calling it wearables I’ll bet the design goes much further Home, Business and entertainment.
First interaction or name Intel has coded is Jarvis and Disney may be either firing up the litigation or an early adopter. One has to wonder what’s in store but with a Giant like Intel committing resources and technology one can only assume the next ten years will make the last 10 years a blip.
